Sprinkle me up!

It's officially a good day here at The Little Wood Oven!

Mr Wood has been getting really rather frustrated lately when he sneaks into the 'treat' cupboard for his usual late night sugar-fix, only to be bombarded with a jumble of neon sprinkles and 100's and 1000's jars that are balanced very precariously on top of each other and the slightest wrong move whilst reaching to the depths of the cupboard for his beloved biscuit tin and before you know it theres a jar of yellow acid face sprinkles on your head!

So it came to me in a moment of genius, that a spice rack could be the answer to all my storage problems! I'm sure that many other 'Cakers' use a similar system with a huge lack of space, so here it is, my new most favourite thing, my spice rack converted into a 'Sprinkle Spinning Carousel'. Room for 16 jars of sprinkle heaven!

All my pretty colourful sprinkles, all together and no mismatched jars, even Mr Wood was amazed, i'm not sure what made him more happy spinning the carousel like a proper boy as fast as it could go or the thought of reaching for his biscuit tin without the fear of his hand being bitten off by a rogue jar of white chocolate sprinkle stars!

JCB Cake!

This cake was for the local 'digger' man, who's constantly seen around the village in one of his favourite JCBs, so this bright yellow covered sponge seemed appropriate for his Birthday Cake this week!

Cupcake Toppers!

I've been wanting to use these little cupcake toppers and cases for a while now and I had the perfect chance this week, for my lovely sister-in-law's Birthday.

 A fun way to turn  up a simple yet yummy cupcake into a proper grown up after dinner treat!

The Little Wood Oven Easter Bunny

The Little Wood Over spread a little early Easter cheer this week and hopped around giving out Easter Cupcakes to some friendly faces round the local village,

They seemed to go down quite well and were gratefully received and ofcourse the chocolate cupcakes were first to go!

Robert's Robot-Pops

There once was a Boy called Robert, who from a very early age was always facinated by Robots! So it was only right that when Robert hit 30  his sister requested Robot Pops for his birthday shindig.

 Ofcourse in red for the dedicated Man U fan!

Naughty Cupcakes!

So Mr Wood has gone on his jolly jaunts  for the week and left me to my own devices, he-he-he-he!!!"
So an hour later and armed with my new chocolate mold i came up with these little naughty double chocolate cupcakes,. I've got a feeling if Mr Wood was around he wouldn't beable to bring himself to nibble on this one, so one for the ladies, boys have 'yorkies' so we need something sexist of our own!
